1. As you create a multilingual vocabulary, you should choose “Per language terms. Different terms will be allowed for each language and they can be translated.” option under “Multilingual options” panel.
2. As you add terms, you should set language for that term from “Language” drop-down.
EXAMPLE:
Consider you have a vocabulary named Fruits; and you have terms i.e Apple, Peach, Cherry etc.
- You will add term “Apple” and set language as English
- You will add term “Pomme” and set language as French
- …
3. After you added all terms for both languages, switch to vocabulary’s main page. There should be a “Translation” link on upper right corner of the page(at least for Garland theme, it is there). Click Translation link.
4. On Translation page(tab) click “Create new translation” link.
5. On the next page you will see 2 seperate drop-down lists for both Languages.
5.a From English drop-down, choose “Apple”
5.b From French drop-down, choose “Pomme”
5.c Click Save button.
Translation is done for Apple-Pomme terms! Repeat steps 4-5 for other terms.
注意：
在创建Taxonomy的时候，如果想用上面的方法，刚必须在同一级上创建一个英文和一个中文，且必须从最上级开始创建，否则没法对应。
在翻译的过程中，如果在 translate interface中Taxonomy, conteny type, menu中都找不到要翻译的内容，则可用search, 在全用search功能的时候，有时候很难定位其到底是block 还是 menu，这时可以search全部内容，然后进行翻译。
到今不至，翻译只能翻译系统产生的字符串，或者就安装模块产生的，且字符串须由t(”)包括;
一般来说，只要是t(”)，中的内容一般都用search找到且翻译。
